The ice is beautiful in the forest – I took a fair amount of ice photos today- but not on the sidewalk and driveway. We’re going to need lots of sand to spread around! Did you end up with snow?

We had snow with an ice coating and it has been raining since mid afternoon – so a mixed bag for us. This is a year when you need to keep your yak trax handy! 🙂

Ahh yes, nature’s indecision leaves us in anticipation. 🙂
Beautiful photo. The limb in the foreground looks coated in ice already! I had to drive home last night in heavy fog and drizzle. I was so glad the weather decided to keep the freezing temps well away! Best wishes, WG
Beautiful
Hahaha! Hilarious! Gorgeous pic too.
Winter’s light is, I feel, the best for photography. Low, soft and hauntingly beautiful.
I love winter light too and this photo one of my favorites.
Thank you Helen.
Lovely moment.
It does feel undecided, doesn’t it? It looks like we’ll be getting ice and you, snow. Wish it was the light and fluffy stuff instead!
I like ice – when I’m inside. Keep safe!

nice contrasts
Nice view of a gloomy winter day.
Brrr looks cold! Sending dreams of a nice fire and hot chocolate sent your way! Hugz Lisa and Bear
<3 this!
reminds me of Millet’s painting “Solitude”
Simple yet meaningful poem. It does create an ambience being with the nature and touch the reader.
Reblogged this on Memoirs of a Weird Wanderer.

I love the photograph. We’re having the same weather here in Ohio. Today it’s rain, but tomorrow?
You got that right! 🙂
Where we are, it is trying to decide if it wants to be spring time or winter time!
This is beautiful! Love the contrast in the photo, and it’s many suggestions. Glorious!
One of your best. A compelling image, well composed.
