Amazing to see frost. It’s yet another reminder of how large our country is, and how things differ from one section to another. And it’s a beautiful photo. I once saw snow on lilacs — there’s something about flowers covered with frost or snow that’s strangely heart-warming.
it’s always amazing to see which plants/flowers can survive a frost…I have some calendula and French hollyhocks that are tough as nails. Seasonal fence-sitters?
Wow, we seem drawn to similar images, however I have no talent for applying the lovely words to them that you do! I want to send them to my sister, a master gardener (and bird watcher) but I am still new enough I’m not sure how or even IF that is allowed. I see a button that says reblog. I think I’ll try that.
Thanks again and thanks for the visit to my blog.

Fabulous.
Lovely image, C. It expresses well this transitional time.
I always tend to feel sorry for the lingering flowers that suffer the embrace of early winter. Lovely capture…all the same 🙂
So beautiful and fleeting…
Wonderful colors and details.
Beautiful!
This is amazing!
Black-eyed Susans are so tough … I saw some in perfect bloom just last week. Nice photo!
A fave…such fine textures and hues
