  1. I have no idea what this flower is, but it hardly matters. I think it might be the flashiest, most vibrant marigold in the world. The shape is as compelling as the color.

  2. I don’t know what the protocol is but do I have your permission to paint this? I’m new at watercolor and I think this would be a great challenge, especially with the rain drops. IF, and that’s a big “IF”, the painting turns out alright and if I put it up on my blog, I’d put a link back to your blog to this post. Please let me know if this is alright. Also, what kind of flower is this and where was it taken?

    1. Carol, I’d be honored it you cared to paint my images. And I’d much appreciate a link-back if you post it. “Dichotomy” is a french marigold – and this photo was taken on my porch in orford NH. Very Best, Catherine

      1. Thank you so much! You’ve actually got several photos that I’d like to paint. Your photos are beautiful! I mean more so than other photos I’ve seen.
Anyway, like I said in another comment somewhere, I’ve got paints on order so I’ll start when they come in. I’ll keep you updated K? Thanks again. BTW, I saw your page on pixels.com and you paint well. You could paint your photos too if you wanted. 🙂

  3. Catherine, One more question as I forgot to ask, IF the painting turns out ok, can I post it on my pixels.com site? Of course I would put your url in the description area and also my blog. I just want to be sure and not assume anything.
