Catherine – do you know of an old publication called Ideals? My grandmother had a subscription and passed on the issues to my mom. Much of the photography must have come from New England – as prairie kids, my sister and I used to pore over the glossy, romantic photos of white churches surrounded by orange autumn forests and big red barns in the snow like this one, so different from anything we saw in Alberta. Many of your photos remind me of the ones I loved in that magazine.
