Our last snow was so thick on the branches we could barely see the feeder a dozen feet from our house. Of course that also meant it was wet and heavy, as I encountered shoveling the driveway on the other side of the house, all part of that same experience and awakening.
It took me a few minutes to see the “foot.” I was tricked by my desire to read words visually, imaginatively. Serves me right. I need to pay more attention to what’s there. Lovely photograph. Accurate contrast between words in the 2nd line. I could feel that.

So peaceful. We don’t get snow here now.
I am always restored walking in the snow. This photo and your words bring that silence to me now even though I am no longer in snow country.
