Very nice indeed. There are bluejays at our feeder right now–although they’re squawking territorially, not asking questions that liven the forest! Still, they’re beautiful to see.
I suspect my jays are feeding babies, now. There are many, many flights a day to the feeder. They call as they fly, so when I hear them, I grab a handful of shelled pecans and put them out. Then, I whistle them up, and they arrive to carry away the pecans before the sparrows find them.
Seedbud: thanks, I enjoy the distance ot the shot. So ofren we feel we need to get a closeup each time. Space provides a different and pleasant perspective.
Beautiful. We get brown Jays here with blue under their wings, I saw one the other day. They are gorgeous x
Another iconic shot…no need to ask…the soul intuitively knows…lovely!

Great positioning! Blue jays know how to make an impression. I also did a post recently on them: https://beautyalongtheroad.wordpress.com/2015/04/30/the-blue-mob/
