This photo reminds me of a little book I bought many years ago, it had in it information and thoughts on the importance of paths as roads and to facilitate communication in days long gone by. The book is called “The English Path” and is written by Kim Taplin. It shows many examples of the path in paintings and writings. It is a jewel of a book. Thanks to your photo I have picked it up again for a re-read. It’s delightful.
Beautiful!
What lies beyond the gate but new adventures!
What a wonderful setting! Well done!
Beautiful and peaceful on either side of the fence! Hugz Lisa and Bear
🙂
Nice shot. Thanks.

Lovely, I would love to walk into this photo and through the gate.
I love taking pictures of gates, for I believe the same thing…
I dearly love a gate. Thank you.
This beautiful picture is an invitation — to serenity and beauty and to the symbolism of a gate. I love it. t’s so peaceful.
A lovely view!
Reblogged this on Voices and Visions.
So bizarre as I took a very similar view today as I was walking my dog, I had to double take!!
This is a wonderful image because of its depth — marvelous foreground, middle ground and background. This captures quintessential New England.
