This one is so different from the photos I saw here till now. No peace or joy this time and also the light itself seems dissolve the image, like the frame of the rotten leaf. So I was very curious to know more about you, and I found the page where you, among other things, say this: I’ve been training my eye to always be on the lookout for beauty as I listen deeply for all the languages of nature so I can translate them into poetry and share them. In doing that I’ve constructed a kind of life raft that keeps me from being pulled under by the ugliness …
I was impressed by what I read on that page and now I know better why this blog exists, with its constant structure. So well done!
And your training is so a good thing: now you can see Beauty (the capital letter is not a mistake) even in the organic dissolution of what was alive, even thinking of impermanence as the rule of our life. And changing everything with a beautiful title: attendance!
Thank you Catherine.
Judy, thank you so much for your careful reading and kind and thoughtful words. They mean more to me than you might possibly imagine and I treasure them. Thank you. 🌸
though the seasons pass or the world passes life is permanent.
Amen! Well said, Catherine! Love the photo too!
