I’ve found it so hard to capture the blue of the skies on this trip — and I finally figured out that part of the reason is that the skies aren’t this beautiful blue. Gravel roads, a soybean harvest in full swing, and prairie fires put a pall over deeply saturated blue skies — once I get out of soybean territory, it will be interesting to see if the skies clear.
The photo’s a beauty. The gate is an implicit invitation to open, and enjoy.
