Beautiful and so nostalgic (for me. i’m not stepping foot in that bitter cold unless I absolutely HAVE to. Or unless I’m skiing. Ha.) Really, you got everything crystal perfect in this – the shot, the poetry. Sigh.
A good reminder of the connection between water and spirit (the drive to keep moving forward), but also the paradoxical connection between the life force and its potential for being turned against itself : stream, snow, occasionally ice. All in a setting of great but quiet beauty. Very rich image and words!
Love this photo, beautiful.
Superb
That’s an amazing photo. Thanks.
Forget the cold! The beauty of your Winter is truly wondrous.
Beautiful! 💖😊
Pretty brook.
Love this picture–essence of life and tranquility in the midst of winter
What a beautiful photo. This is winter at its most appealing, and you’ve captured it well.
Great image, my friend.

Freezing water, running water…fraternal twins. Love the haiku. What camera(s) do you use, leafandtwig?
