  2. Hi again…I checked with my sister and this is what she said:
    Monkshood – Aconitum napellus. Very poisonous but very common and very pretty.
    So the 2 commenters were correct(monkshood and aconite are 2 of its names, as is wolf’s bane)

  3. Lovely photo. Monkshood is very hardy. It survives -40 to – 60 degrees F in northeastern Ontario to reappear every year in our former home garden having stems with full blooms similar to Delphinium. Beautiful poem. Thank you.
