I love seeing the red sumac berries still on the bushes in winter. Did you know you can make a pink lemonade from the berries in summer? Also, a friend of mine harvests the berries, dries them and grinds them into a spice that goes well with heavier meats like lamb.
Wow! Who knew it had so many and (varied!) uses.
