  1. My only associstion with Parrish is as the name of a main student center and residence at Swarthmore College. It was not blue during my years in attendance. What am I missing re Parrish blue?

    1. Maxfield Parrish was a painter and illustrator who lived in the first part of the 20th century. Part of his life he worked and lived in Plainfield NH which is in my general area. And sometimes the skies here look a lot like what he painted. He used a lot of saturated colors. Here’s a good example of his use of blue…which came to be known over time as Parrish Blue
