What a surprising sensation seen from above, that redhead beating its sound about love (and sustenance – it is nearly Valentine’s Day after all).
I’m not a fan of woodpeckers since I usually have to shoo them away from my (wood) house, but this one appears to be on a tree, so I guess they’re better behaved in your area. 😉 Nice post.

What a delightful title for an occupation, image given in newfound (for us) perspective. They are percussionists; sometimes, when outside, I take their knocks for machines’. Though the noise of these birds is better.
