Where, where, where do you find all these images! I am intrigued every day!
I see an alien silhouette posing as the character from Edvard Munch’s The Scream on the spider’s back. Great photo!
Amazing ~ Amen :Y
How very wonderful!
I’ve never seen one of these webs, and would love to come across one. It does look like a zig-zag stitch, but it reminds me of Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven.” (I may need to find something to get that out of my mind, lest I hear it playing for the rest of the day!)
Great shot! I love the rather demonic face that a lot of these have on their abdomens; it’s a good way to ward off predators! They say the zig-zag pattern may have a dual purpose: to warn birds and those approaching the web and to emit (reflect) ultraviolet light to attack insects.
Beautiful poem. Small world, I have that exact pose of Argeope spider tattooed on my arm. They are unique for their zig-zag web pattern. 🙂
I love writing spiders!
Fabulous shot! I had no idea they did such a stitch!
I love these spiders! We had one on our back porch for a season — she actually left her egg sac and we had hopes of seeing thousands of babies parachuting through the air. Alas, we missed it. And I took many shots of her, but none so good as yours. Beauty in creatures most people call ugly…If we look for it, it is there.
Just like my sewing machine. We can always learn from nature.
Wonderful capture and words!
nice photo – love your words.
Ooo… nice closeup!!
I saw this same kind of spider in my yard last week. Blessings, Natalie 🙂
What a great image!
She’s a beauty! I love these yellow garden spiders. I haven’t seen one yet this year, however. I’ll have to start looking more closely!
I love this – and what a great metaphor
The multiple pattern contrast and mirroring in this one is strikingly lovely.
wow look at that! wonderfully captured!
Ah what a tangled web we weave……
Omg I don’t like spiders, but I must say this is a pretty one!! Have a wonderful Friday tomorrow!! Hugz Lisa and Bear
