Somehow this reminds me of Scouting hikes and camping when growing up in southwestern Ohio.

  2. Tim McGee – Catholic Christian, husband, father May all things point to the glory of God, made manifest in the Word made flesh, Jesus Christ
    Tim McGee says:

You capture the simple in a way that allows us to see beauty. Thanks.

  3. chelawriter – I thought retirement would give me more time to write, but as with may others, my experience of retirement so far is that it is far busier than my employment years. Two wild fires with evacuations and extensive damage to my home have not helped. Repairs are almost complete, and fingers crossed things will settle down so I can post more often.
    Niki Sebastian says:

Particularly pertinent reminder on a morning when I woke in poor physical and hence mental shape, body preventing me from doing what I wished to, and mind crusting into solid self pitying ice. Reflection and contemplation needed to unlock and restart flow. Thank you for the timely suggestion.
