each to
its own
angle of repose
The Leaves
Borrowed View
the woods makes
a frame of itself
inventing introspection
As October Thins
color comes
leaves keep leaving
cold starts claiming space
To Become Light Itself
for trees no need to be seen
just the splendor of being
is more than enough
Remnants Of The Wind
carried to the ground
each a place holder
of this fine fall day
In October
flowers turn for
a lingering look
towards the retreating sun
At Smith Pond
the silvered
sky and lake
a mirror to memory
Shy Sky
day blushed
overcome by its
eminent beauty
A Change of Register
the light
now speaks
in the tones of autumn
Little Red Mushrooms
vibrant spots of joy
in the browning landscape
Slow
water and the afternoon
meander through
the marsh
Autumn Meadow
color concentrates
life consolidates
ever renewing as seed
High And Low
rocks receiving
the eternal cycle
of the tides
In The Mirror Of The Sea And Sky
a lavender gloaming
as day ebbs
towards night
A Luminosity Of Grace
be still
and the light
will dance upon you
Woods In Morning Mist
I sit and let
the trees teach me
how to breathe
Last Corn Field
planted with extra care
this field saved
for the dear dairy cows
Sunflower Hedge
keeping summer
and sunshine
in the yard
Heading Home
my heart anticipates
each bump and turn
of this known road
Leaves, Reeds, Lilies
autumn
sneaking in
amidst the green
The Wind At Your Back
a gentle guiding hand
encouraging
the moving forward
Meadow Of Milkweed
beautiful this offering
of sustenance
for transformation
The Cooling Pool
shoes off
slip into the soft silt
and cool caress
The Garden Impression
each bloom
its own
bold brush stroke
Wishbone
the river and the tree
share the wish
of deliverance
A Royal Court Of Sorts
a gathering
the queens in bloom
ruling wild grass
Barely There
within a camouflage
of pollen and reflections
ducks converge
Art Appreciation
I sat and watched
the clouds create
a moving mosaic
Rocky Way
the obstructed path
a lesson in
attention and intentionality
Down The River
only water knows
the future that lies
around the bend
