I overlay the landscape

melt and freeze
the ground softens
in fits and starts

in an ocean of snow
the tree becomes
tentacles and fin
Sunrise
greeted by
the wise eye
of the new day
Blow Down
the wind delivered
a lichen corsage
to an icy ‘spring fling’
Titivated Trees
each branch adorned
with a delicate extravagance
of twig made lace
Pine And Ice
winter weary
we still recognize
her particular beauty
Blue Morning
the night slips away
and day is claimed
with sunlight and sparkle
The Ending Starts The Beginning
a return to origins
feeding the source with self
life circles and circles

our daily path
and still each day
new wonders discovered

winter carves
sharp edges

learning from the meadow
I will try to love
the still gray sky and stubborn snow

still so cold
but the glittering snow
spoke of spring
