I just saw some African violets for sale yesterday, and briefly forgot that my mother, who adored them, wasn’t here any longer to receive one as a gift. It never occurred to me to get one for myself. Your photo’s so beautiful, I just might do that.
I did! And here’s a tidbit you’ll like. After Mom died, she was cremated. She wanted to be buried in Iowa, in the fall, so for about three months she stayed on a plant stand in my bedroom, surrounded by her collection of violets. 🙂
