Tom's Nature-up-close Photography and Mindfulness Blog – My Blog primarily consists of close-up nature photos (that I've taken locally) combined with original holistic-truth oriented prose and/or poetry involving mindfulness/awareness. I love nature and I love understanding the whole (not merely the parts and the details). I'm a retired teacher of the multiply handicapped. I have a number of interesting hobbies, such as fossil collecting, sport-kite flying, 3D and 2D close-up photography, holography, and pets. Most of all, I am into holistic self-awareness, spontaneous insight, unconventional observation/direct perception, mindfulness, meditation, world peace, non-fragmentation, population control, vegetarianism, and green energy.   3. derrickjknight – UK – I am an octogenarian enjoying rambling physically and photographing what I see, and rambling in my head as memories are triggered. I also ramble through a lifetime's photographs. In these later years much rambling is done in a car.

  5. Rajiv – I have been around the block a bit. I've lived in four countries, and in many parts of my country. I have been fortunate enough to meet some really good people, and some really lousy ones, all of whom have taught me much. I am passionate about photography, writing, Indian history and continuing on this grand journey towards death.

  7. crazyruthie – San Francisco, CA USA – i'm an abstract painter, abstract expressionist most of the time. i work in a large variety of mediums. i draw psychedelic pictures with sharpies from time to time. i take photographs from time to time. i love the arts; they inspire me and they are my therapy. i have fibromyalgia and and spinal stenosis along with diabetes and a variety of mental illnesses. the main one is bipolar disorder. i love rescue animals, the interwebz, my husband, my dog, my dad, the arts, rocknroll, coffee, tattoos, diet coke, and going to the movies alone!

  9. 2ndhalfolife – In the second (or really third?) half of my life now. Moving into the more crone stage: out of my head, into my soul. My magic is returning after many years of having lost it to the streets of life. There have been some very dark times, but these have made my journey rich with the stuff of possibility. Because out of darkness has come the glittering beauty of illumination. It has come with struggle and toil, and not without help--but I am here, and I am mostly in tact, and I'm here to share the rest of this journey with you all if you care to join me.......

  12. Ruth Bailey – I am a professional artist working in watercolor. After living in many places throughout the US and Europe, I now live in coastal Maryland. I enjoy activities on the water, and images from the water. I also spend as much time as practical every summer on our sailboat. I love color and value, and I love using the 'unexpected' color to highlight, underscore, or intensify.

  13. NatureSpeak Photos – I take photos of nature as an amateur. That being so, I prefer not to edit the photos so that they retain their "naturalness". These photos, even though silent, tell us volumes about life, principles, ethics and harmony. Silence and nature; so much to experience, so much to learn...
