  1. derrickjknight – UK – I am an octogenarian enjoying rambling physically and photographing what I see, and rambling in my head as memories are triggered. I also ramble through a lifetime's photographs. In these later years much rambling is done in a car.

    Nice muted colour

  2. NatureSpeak Photos – I take photos of nature as an amateur. That being so, I prefer not to edit the photos so that they retain their "naturalness". These photos, even though silent, tell us volumes about life, principles, ethics and harmony. Silence and nature; so much to experience, so much to learn...

A hint of what is to come!

  3. Kentucky Angel – Owensboro, KY – I'm a somewhat normal, extremely old, grammy, living in Kentucky, and living with MS since the age of 15. Just turned 72, so that's a lot of years. I would tell you how many, but I flunked math, and numbers give me a headache, so I avoid them at all cost. I love to crochet, knit, scrapbook, cook and visit with friends in the lobby of the building I live in. Most of the time I have a sense of humor. Other times I don't. At one time I was a musician with a guitar, but after age and time, plus a few falls, I can no longer play my guitar, so it now lives with my son. Now I play the radio, always with perfect pitch. Well, almost always. Depends on the station or the CD I'm listening to. I try to find something to laugh about every day, another way to get thru each boring day without picking my nose in public.

Beautiful. Love mountains, but can’t live there. Just live there vicariously thru photos.

    1. Living vicariously has its rewards and pleasures too. So glad to share the mountains with you.

  4. I love this photo with its layers! Amazing that you still have sumac – the birds have eaten all of ours.

  5. So beautiful. I look forward to your email every day to help me begin the day in appreciation, gratitude and beauty. The interaction between the photo and the little poem is exquisite

  6. Very nice with the different points of distance

Love the mountains in the background.

  8. firefly1275 – Louisiana – V. Rose enjoys creating mystical characters and worlds, with a touch of the modern day world. When she is not writing or thinking up her next story ideas, she is enjoying South Louisiana sunsets.

    Very beautiful photo shot!

  9. 2ndhalfolife – In the second (or really third?) half of my life now. Moving into the more crone stage: out of my head, into my soul. My magic is returning after many years of having lost it to the streets of life. There have been some very dark times, but these have made my journey rich with the stuff of possibility. Because out of darkness has come the glittering beauty of illumination. It has come with struggle and toil, and not without help--but I am here, and I am mostly in tact, and I'm here to share the rest of this journey with you all if you care to join me.......
