  4. Dr. Denny Wilkins – Dr. Denny Wilkins professes journalism at a small, private university in the Northeast. He has climbed, hiked, kayaked, photographed, skied, and otherwise meandered aimlessly throughout the American West for decades. He has degrees in geology, environmental studies, and communication — and has tried to make use of them as a co-founder of the progressive cultural blog ScholarsandRogues.com. He’s broadly interested in how the world works and why it works that way. He hates writing, although he does like having written well.

That sneaky snow has been falling here for days now …

  6. *snowing….. February 13*

daylight through lace curtains of a large solitary room high ceiling peeling painted white walls great snowflakes fall continuously side ways which ways wind I could hear their silent song voiceless…air patter there vast anonymity each ones purpose clear falling in air it felt right…….it felt how it is what I learn peaceful for so long I watched was it an hour?…..was it a minute?…..was it seconds? I’m not sure of anything but it changed……..and changed turning in the big wheel without name change…change…change to rain to rain to rain cold rain

  7. happycat13 – My life in the mountains residing on a young vineyard has been a serendipitous journey. Though I worked hard to earn degrees in Business Administration and Middle Grades Science Education, it seems that life has shown me yet another path. In the next couple of years, we shall see where this vineyard business and a couple of other ventures lead. "Necessity is the mother of all invention." In the meantime between working the vineyard on all levels of business, when there is a moment to create something else fun, we shall! Whether it is repurposing a piece of architectural salvage, painting, crocheting, cooking, gardening, photography, etc., the theme here is inspiration and reinvention.

  9. jacquelinezuckerman – Southern California – Married mother of two adults, (very nice ones, thank you), one grandchild (soon to be two!), struggling artist/writer, who is horribly klutzy, and is finally taking time for herself. What started out as a blog about me and my artistic journey has developed into something else, an online journal of job loss, struggle to survive, and above all else, a love letter of sorts to my husband.
