  1. Journey In Rhyme – What a ride thus far. A “journey”, if you will. The ups and downs, hard falls, and grace-filled recoveries have painted quite an image. Abstract art, though it may be, there is a rhyme and a rhythm, a heartbeat, and a pulse. The mix of colors, lights and shadows, three-dimensional electricity… the random strokes and thickness of paint tell such a story. God-willing, I keep breathing with purpose, and continue to create art with the help of my Creator. I’ve taken an extended break from this blog (today is 3/5/20), and upon my return I am seeking to add new poetry and perhaps revise some of the thoughts and ideas within my older writings. I seek to express truth. I praise God for the renewal of my mind! (Romans 12:2). I will revise or delete as I feel lead. I see the poetic expressions herein as reflections of my emotions, circumstances, enemy influences, pain, temptation, and even substance abuse- ALL PART OF MY JOURNEY. I do not seek to hide the parts of my journey that have brought me closer to my Maker, but I encourage all assertions in my poems be checked against the Truth of the Word. I desire to share light and hope, which I recognize more brilliantly now after walking through the darkness. “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” Proverbs 16:3

  3. penpusherpen – England.... – I like to write in my spare time, poems and short stories mainly. Time flies so quickly but I do try and write when the mood takes me. I love walking, (along the nearby Canal Paths, the Local Woods and anywhere that stirs the imagination) reading, (Science Fiction mainly) watching films (Johnny Depp orientated usually), Gardening, (when I can fit it in, weeds seem to grow like wildfire)..and I believe that you make your own path through this life, so plant flowers as you go and brighten your way..

  9. MJF Images – American Pacific Northwest – A photographer and writer, I have been a geologist and also a science teacher in the past. I am a diehard explorer, traveler, and nature lover who lives in Portland, Oregon. I'm curious and excited about most things around me, especially people, natural science and diverse cultures. My photography tends toward landscape, nature/wildlife, and people (candid and lifestyle). But I'm always exploring new subjects. This blog will be about the story behind the pictures, but not generally about the photography behind the pictures. There will be talk of photo techniques only on Friday Foto Talk installments. Most times I will feature aspects of the places and people themselves, not like so many blogs just the photography. I'll be giving some practical advice on visiting the areas I photograph, so it might look a bit like a travel blog at times. But I will also go into the geology for landscapes, into natural history for wildlife and nature, into culture both modern and ancient for travel/people, and so on. I won't be giving you a blow-by-blow on how I took the picture, and never will I be a cheerleader for a certain type of gear, don't worry. I hope you enjoy it, and remember, keep exploring this beautiful world we share, and take good care of it too!

  11. virginiafair – I am trying to make sense of a world that changes daily. Blackberries,I-phones, I-pads, Bluetooths. No, blueteeth, that sounds better. And there's the rub, you see? For me, it's the words, not the things. Words are to describe moments of our lives, and that's it. That's what I'm all about. Unplugging and taking my time to experience everyday life so I can put it to words
    virginiafair says:

Yes it is. Happy Valentine’s Day to you as well

  12. mrsjacoby19 – I'm a Shreveport Native. One of my life's love, is the love of writing poetry. I particularly like to write realistic poetry. Poetry that deals with everyday life. Poetry that dives into the emotions, as well as the psyche of a person. Some topics may include, love as it partains to, relationships. Whether that be, marital, co-habitating,parental, spiritual, etc. This is my passion and I embrace it whole heartedly.
    mrsjacoby19 says:

    Love it!!

  13. Dr. Denny Wilkins – Dr. Denny Wilkins professes journalism at a small, private university in the Northeast. He has climbed, hiked, kayaked, photographed, skied, and otherwise meandered aimlessly throughout the American West for decades. He has degrees in geology, environmental studies, and communication — and has tried to make use of them as a co-founder of the progressive cultural blog ScholarsandRogues.com. He’s broadly interested in how the world works and why it works that way. He hates writing, although he does like having written well.
    Dr. Denny Wilkins says:

    Home, sweet home. Very nice.
