Picture and words in perfect harmony – ever read the Roger McGough poem about the Fight of the Year ?

  2. typewriterpoet – I enjoy many poetry styles but enjoy short poetry the most and a little bit of microfiction, but the challenge of a long poem has it's enjoyment as well!

Thank goodness for the determination of Spring!

  3. Hello there!
Did you take all of these photos?

  4. RMW and BTC – We are problem solvers, who are very interested in the relationship of mathematics to interactive human behavior. We believe that with only four postulates and two corollaries we can account for virtually all IHBs, gain a better and more truthful understanding of ourselves, discover a more global form of education, and understand the precise conditions necessary for world peace.

The first line is great! However, the second line is a bit wordy, and undercuts the rhythmic power of the first. The photo is excellent!

  5. vftmom247 – We have settled in Susterseel, Germany. If you find yourself saying "Where the heck is Susterseel?.." you're not alone. At first, we thought we were just an island of Germany surrounded by The Netherlands, because in order to get anywhere, it seemed like we had to criss-cross between the two countries. We are right on the border though, an hour north of Aachen, just across the border from Sittard, NE. We are an American missionary family of four, through an organization called LifeTeen. LifeTeen was founded when a priest bumped into a young man he'd confirmed, but hadn't seen in church since. He asked the young man why he'd stopped coming to church, and the reply was basically that he felt like there was nothing in the Church that was relevant to him anymore. Check out my link to LifeTeen for what came as a result of this encounter. My husband is German, and once he re-joined the Catholic Church, he became a part of LifeTeen. After visiting Germany, it broke his heart to see the state of the Catholic Church in his homeland. It became first his, then our, mission to do what we can about this.

I am in Germany, where we are looking at snow flurries Friday. Like the picture, love the poem, hoping it comes true soon!! Thanks for the like on my blog.

  6. Dr. Denny Wilkins – Dr. Denny Wilkins professes journalism at a small, private university in the Northeast. He has climbed, hiked, kayaked, photographed, skied, and otherwise meandered aimlessly throughout the American West for decades. He has degrees in geology, environmental studies, and communication — and has tried to make use of them as a co-founder of the progressive cultural blog ScholarsandRogues.com. He’s broadly interested in how the world works and why it works that way. He hates writing, although he does like having written well.
    Dr. Denny says:

Very nice … but six inches of snow fell on my western New York deck last night …

  7. wildsherkin – Sherkin Island, Co Cork, Ireland – I like to make things, and I don't always have time and space to do that. Sherkin Island is a tiny island off the south west coast of Cork. It's one of the Carbery One Hundred Isles in Roaring Water Bay, just a ten minute ferry ride from Baltimore in West Cork yet a million miles away from my day job.

It looks as if it has been a long time coming where you live but your snowy pictures and poetry have been beautiful and now I look forward to spring entering your world. 🙂

  8. ShimonZ – Jerusalem – I find my pleasure in art and literature. My primary language is Hebrew, but I enjoy English as an international language. Have worked most of my life in photography, and writing. Have also taught in college. Enjoy a good adventure.
    ShimonZ says:

    nice
