the sky sings
glory hallelujah
water sings the refrain
Remnant of Everything
discarded bark contains
the sunrise and the sunset
and the dark side of the moon
Purple Departure
offering colors to accompany us
through the long night
the day blooms at dusk
Surrender
a tender pink sky
softened the world
strife surrendered
Flight
fleeing from the field
light rides
the salmon sky
Slumber
december glooming
dark light on the marsh
this is where shadows sleep
Fire In The Sky
clouds smolder
their red embers
igniting the water’s edge
Pink Cloud Blue Moon
pink clouds wisped by
grace note of
a perfect day
Now Voyager
spirits voyage
into the pink
back to the source
Filagree Trees
a filagree of trees
upon the painted sky
a tribute to the end of day
how beauty never dies
Electric Sky & Tree Bones
sunset spectacle
fluid beauty
at the speed of light
Modesty
naked trees
made
dusk blush
Twilight
the sun sets
on monoliths
eternal rest is fenced
Preserving Beauty
color and light
embers of memories
to warm me in winter
Lemon Sky
A delicious day ends
beneath a lemon sky.
Celestial Sky
I bathe my soul
in the beauty of the sky.
Send Off
Day departs
painting the sky
riotous colors.
In the Highest
Heaven’s joy
reaches out to us
in an extravagance of colors.
Impermanence
The sky is my teacher
offering lessons in
fleeting, ephemeral, perfection.
The Artist
Indian Paintbrush colors the meadow
with embers of sunset.
Paradise
resides right outside my window.
Landscape
Every evening as day departs
the sky reveals a secret
about the passage of time.
Pond Side
Dusk sweeps in on a sparrow’s wing.
December Dusk
Quietly, quickly
the embers of the day
melt away into grey.
Intensity
Morning began with a light pink sky so delicate
it could never suggest the evening it brought
and its intensity of red and orange.
