calm can be found
even inside the storm
Wide Sky
clouds rush past
chased by the arctic wind
as I set my sights on blue
Ushered
one storm is ushered out
the next is ushered in
brief is the blue sky
Sanctuary
While the garden is watered
I shelter with the maple.
April Ice
A storm slides in
and glazes spring
freezing her in motion.
Flurry
In my spring dreams
it snows flowers.
The Tempest’s Creation
The storm left
sculptures and mysteries
behind.
Benevolence
As dusk descends a storm approaches,
celestial light graces the trees
and shelters the shadow of the house.
Before the Storm
the sky gathers greyness and weight
and pushes itself upon us blanketing us with
anticipation in the stillness and the stirring smell of approaching snow.
Passing Storm
In the eye of the storm
you can catch a glimpse of God
watching over you.
Dark Clouds
Seek shelter from the gathering storm.
Let faith be a blanket that keeps you warm.
Passage
Fear not the dark cloud and storm
for as they pass they herald even as they obscure
sunshine and the blue hues of heaven
