winter is
the practice
of patience
Travel
shadows and sunlight
travel
the still river
Ray
a ray of sun
the yellow barn
in a cold field
Purple Dawn
it is the sky
that flowers
in winter
Mountain View
winter haze
a cloudless day
just time, the mountain and I
bare tree blue sky
reaching
up, up, up
this is worship
Submerged
a fallen leaf
in the not yet frozen pond
reaches for the sky
Steeple
homage
to the heavens
home of homes
Morning’s Moon
the night’s light
escorts me to
a pink dawn
Lemon Sky
A delicious day ends
beneath a lemon sky.
Columns
Delphinium columns
support the weight of the sky.
Pink Foam
Blooms reach for the clouds
like waves clinging to the shore.
Unfettered
dark clouds drifting
carry my cares away
Blues
All the colors
of the ocean and sky
reside in an iris bloom.
Lichen Sky
In the absence of leaves
the branch wears lichen.
Spring will not be surrendered.
Celestial Sky
I bathe my soul
in the beauty of the sky.
Stained Glass
How glorious the view
from the cathedral that is nature.
Commencement
The new day sweeps in
clearing darkness to the side.
Luminosity
Icy candles’
rainbow flames
light the day.
A Rescuing Sky
Contentment sails by
on a pink cloud.
Excursion
The air is as brisk as it is blue.
The work to reach the rise is well worth the view.
Birch Ballet in Blue Sky
Graceful limbs sway
exquisitely expressing
the symphony of the wind.
Pines in Pink
Morning rushes in
promising a rosy day.
Aspiration
Branches reach
through blue sky and clouds
to touch the heavens.
Unfailing
A sliver of moon
the morning star
day breaks
Visual Feast
My eyes devour
tart cranberries in blueberry blue sky.
Nature’s banquet always satiates my hunger for beauty.
Morning Comes
no matter
how dark
the night.
Shadow Lands
light and dark
waltz across
the hilltops
Quilted Sky
Tucked under a blanket of clouds
the river valley rests.
Spirit in Clouds
During dark days
if I remember to look up
I can see your magnificence
shining on me.
