snowing light
the maple tree’s
luminosity
Early Company
infinity of blue
venus and the moon
visit before night
To End Is To Begin
fresh light
fell on New Year’s Day
shadows came and had their say
Faith
be still
in the darkness
for the light will find you
Snow Queen
her winter crown
rendered from
diamond light
Alighted
hope
is faith’s comrade
keeping us afloat
Field’s Erudition
solitary walk
a revelation of light
darkness cannot hold
Barely There
colors
soon a memory
landscape’s bones laid bare
Road Signs
full stop
traffic jam
of autumn’s color
Tender Topography
colors smolder
as light negotiates night
landscape of the soul
Constant
amidst the world’s
noise and confusion
aster blooms in profusion
Galaxy
pumpkin wears
a constellation of light
and the black of night
Scalloped Edge of Time
hearts on the mill stone
waiting to be used
Homecoming Dance
fall arrives
as leaf and shadow
dance in waning light
Inscription
autumn light
etches the edges
of everything into memory
Dive In
in the deep end
of color
oranges give way to light
Shine
August sun
the heart of heat
lighting everything from within
Escort
golden lanterns
in the fading light
accompany day into night
Spot Light
found by the light
or light from within
a beacon
How Day Breaks
God’s finger
a single ray of light
the touch of the divine
Reach
winter’s long shadow
reaches for
the shore of spring
Passage
this is the way
through the dark and the grey
past winter’s long night and into the light
Heading into Spring
ride the rails
out of winter’s shadows
into light and the beginnings of green
Illuminati
before bursting into being
possibilities illuminate
the breath of every second
Yet
a memory of last summer’s sun
the winter field not yet touched
by the greens of spring
Time Combined
for every shadow
there is light
counterparts
like day to night
Music Leads The Way
by the frozen vernal pond
in winter’s dark white
the flutist plays
Following Leads
through the reeds
a road emerged
that seemed to lead to spring
Needed
lantern in snow
a wink of light
feeds hope
Surrender
a tender pink sky
softened the world
strife surrendered
