rain and snow compete
but mostly ice
will be the victor
Rain And Wind Storm
From Above
reprieved from freezing
a sun warmed soup
of autumn’s leaves
Stillness
the lichen
and the leaves
find their autumnal repose
Winter’s Design
mosaic of ice
the ground’s
beauty enshrined
Warmed By The Sight
lingering
red leaves
flickering like flames
Cattail Cotton Candy
sweet stuff
spun out of
light and life
Becoming Invisible
holding completely still
the bird’s mantra
I am one of the leaves, I am one of the leaves
Bell In The Woods
rung only by the wind
calling out to winter
calling back to summer
Seeking Unification
here’s the gold
searching
for its rainbow
Arched Window
outside the church
red leaves and red brick
join in prayer
Combinations
this morning held everything
each possible
presence and absence
The Dance
wanting each moment
to last forever
impatient for what is next
Like Honey
luminous autumn light
sticks to every
leaf and twig
Dress Up
poised by the window
in her shimmering succulent cape
begonia as a rosebud
Contained
all transformations
of the seasons change
assembled in the now
Intricacies Of Goodbye
abrupt or lingering
departures always leave something
if only the new beginning
Coleus Leads Fall’s Color Parade
with the zing
of a lime green
rick rack edge
Venetian Blinds
shade
is drawn
by leaves
First Hint Of Fall
a quick kiss
by the cool breeze
on the landscape’s cheek
A Landscape Of Kale
consider
the edible
geography
Inside The Moment
the peacefulness of morning
lingers like
dewdrops on a leaf
Could It Be
the details
on the butterfly’s wing
cast light instead of shadows
The Timelessness of Koi
eternity knows
only
shadow and light
The Green Flock
brown tipped
feathers
of hens and chicks
Morning Light
finds its way
over the rock wall
into the shade garden
The Tree’s Shade
a protection
like being held
in strong arms
Fluidity
pulmonaria
does not conform
blooming in both pink and blue
The Desires Of Details
the colors of new leaves
and their unfolding shapes
devising a composition of spring
Pause
to revel in
the many marvels
of nature’s designs
Continuum
from the past
emerges
today’s blessing
