Late Arrival

one more
joyful shout
of spring

it seems it is
the river bend that
brings us spring

a window is opened in heaven
in summer waltzes
scattering shades of blue

even the leaves
came
two by two

breathless
she flies in
on the west wind

all
woven together
departure and arrival

finally seen
the exit
from darkness

robins arrival
announce
the inevitability of spring

moon
in blue
night’s light

winter’s
daydream
has arrived

swooping in
summer arrives
on red wings

third Sunday
violet advent
arrives in the window

fall arrives
as leaf and shadow
dance in waning light

the day arrived
in wisps and sighs
the kiss of color as night goodbyes

summer flew in
on the wide blue sky
and landed in the greening field

When the first colorful leaf
lands on the stairs
Fall has arrived.
