I hadn’t thought about light that way. I’ve seen it, along with the absences, but did attend. Nor to what’s revealed .You got it all in the photograph. I’m keeping it near as a reminder to look again.
I have always been fascinated by winter landscapes. Brittle, skeletal like bold truth. I love the icy lack of scent……drawing breaths into my lungs. I recall in many of your photos my childhood in upstate New York.
The detail of nature revealed in winter is striking!
Happy New Year to you and yours Peter. Best, Catherine
Beautiful scene. 😊
Thanks Irene. Happy New Year
And to you as well. 😊
To me, the image and words are beautiful and wistful. It shows (and tells) the kind of day in which I like to take a drive to nowhere in particular.
Oh yes – a ramble with no destination.
Wishing you a Happy New Year!
Best, Catherine

Wrong “like,” meant for the post. Also, “did” should be “didn’t.”
😀
Albert, wishing you all of the very best in the New Year!

I am so pleased to have sparked a memory or two.
Your posts always have that effect.
