  1. maureenc – south east Queensland – Supposedly retired ,I fit my fabric and fibre fanaticism in with sharing my life with , family and friends and a few other activities My star sign is Cancer;I love being near the ocean and live on the shores of Moreton Bay in SEQ;I enjoy listening to music of many genre,but prefer instrumental to vocal; Reading....I always have a couple of books and magazines on the "go" simultaneously;

    I agree with maureenc! It’s sad to see so many lovely trees –so many years in the making — cut and killed for human homes every year, to be discarded when we deem the season over. Instead, let them be in their natural lives; appreciate them there. That’s a Christmas spirit worth the name.

  4. pastpeter – Sometime Senior Scientist, sometime Senior Pastor, now senior citizen, happily retired and living once again on Long Island, New York – the place people always want to leave but always come back to. Our retirement years have taken Marian and me to mid-coast Maine (A Maine Winter), to the New Hampshire Lakes region (A New Hampshire Journal), and then back to Long Island, where we had spent the 17 “best years of our lives” (Past Pastoring). We loved the north country, but are so glad to be “Home” (Long Islanders).

  6. derrickjknight – UK – I am an octogenarian enjoying rambling physically and photographing what I see, and rambling in my head as memories are triggered. I also ramble through a lifetime's photographs. In these later years much rambling is done in a car.

  9. cathysrealcountrygardencom – France – I have a garden in France, which is not olive trees and jasmine, but much more like an English country garden. It is flowers and vegetables and wild bits and birds: not very big, but to me it is very beautiful.

  10. jillslawit – My corner of Pennine Yorkshire may be no more than a crumb crumbled from the piecrust holding this fragile world together, but it's where I come from. I am part of the earth and moorland of my surroundings, which are deep-rooted in what I think, what I write about and what I am. I live in a small cottage amongst my pens and pencils, my photos, vintage bits and bobs, and my books. Best of all I get to share my life with small visiting granddaughters, family and some very special friends. I work full time in the charity sector. I enjoy reading, writing, taking pictures and looking after my little garden when I've time.
