  1. derrickjknight – UK – I am an octogenarian enjoying rambling physically and photographing what I see, and rambling in my head as memories are triggered. I also ramble through a lifetime's photographs. In these later years much rambling is done in a car.

I notice you have shifted from one long line to two lines. What is your thinking behind that?

    1. Actually it is WordPress’s thinking. If you view the posts on my blog rather than in the reader you will see that I almost always write in three lines – the poetic triplet or tercet. Thanks for asking.

  7. spiritualdragonfly – Eastern Shore – I WANT OUT OF LABELS. I DON'T WANT MY WHOLE LIFE CRAMMED INTO A SINGLE WORD, OR STORY. I WANT TO FIND SOMETHING ELSE, UNKNOWABLE, SOME PLACE TO BE THAT'S NOT ON THE MAP. A REAL ADVENTURE. A MYSTERY. A BLANK. UNKNOWN. UNDEFINED"(Chuck Palahniuk) *************** So, I've started my 'ABOUT' page with this particular quote because I feel it's a pretty good fit for me. Every day of our lives is a blank slate, a new beginning that we get to fill......Each day I'm evolving, so to try and tell you who I am is going to change on any given day. One day I'm spirited and wild, the next solemn. One day I'm anxious, another I'm full of piss and vinegar. I guess you could say I am a Hodge Podge....living a sometimes beautifully chaotic, yet simple life that I choose to share with you......

Love the words! Love the view!

  8. Jessica Dofflemyer – Jessica Dofflemyer is an artist, writer, photographer, and mother living on a small Hawaiian island. Her blog, "For the Archives," began as a 40-day experiment to chronicle everyday experiences raising her six-year-old son on her own. What evolved is now a collection of prose, poetry, and photography that seeks to find the profound in the mundane details of daily life. Dofflemyer's blog has archived over 700 postings and has been featured as a Wordpress "Freshly Pressed" selection. Her photography has been published in the Pacific Writer's Connection anthology, "Ho'olaule'a: Celebrating Ten Years of Pacific Writing," and she continues to post her daily chronicles to the Archives at forthearchives.wordpress.com. Her photography and art can also be viewed at forthearchives.net.

on a walk yesterday morning, I came upon the back of a Buddha statue that looked nearly identical to this, except it was set in a bamboo forest, on a remote island in the middle of the Pacific…time and space

  9. greenmackenzie – Scotland – Hi, I'm Seonaid, and I share my home on the shores of Loch Ness deep in the Scottish Highlands with my husband, my son and a couple of dogs. I love art which is here now and gone tomorrow...like food and nature...but also have a passion for vintage and the ancient past! Nature is my favourite muse, with her wild ever shifting seasons. I have been using and teaching mindfulness and relaxation for over 12 years, and have yet to become any sort of expert :-) I'm a Psychotherapist and Cancer Support Specialist in Maggies Highlands

    Love this

  10. simon7banks – Harwich, UK – I write poems and stories, often mystical or fantastical. I believe very strongly that poetry is an art of the spoken word, so the sound of the words is important: so please say my poems aloud, if only in your head. I live in the U.K., in Harwich, Essex, but have worked in Kenya and Finland, and travelled to many other places. This is my literary blog. I'm also a Liberal Democrat political activist, birder, long-distance trail walker, real ale drinker and Quaker.
