  5. derrickjknight – UK – I am an octogenarian enjoying rambling physically and photographing what I see, and rambling in my head as memories are triggered. I also ramble through a lifetime's photographs. In these later years much rambling is done in a car.

I have been fortunate enough to meet some really good people, and some really lousy ones, all of whom have taught me much.   13. bipolarsojourner – seattle area – i have struggled with episodic depression for years. i then received a diagnosis of being bipolar, only to find out i didn’t. ends up my psychiatrist really meant to say that multiple bouts of depression are often best treated like bipolar. i had already started this blog as bipolar sojourner and didn't want to switch it over. i am documenting my journeys through my depression jungle.

  17. 2ndhalfolife – In the second (or really third?) half of my life now. Moving into the more crone stage: out of my head, into my soul. My magic is returning after many years of having lost it to the streets of life. There have been some very dark times, but these have made my journey rich with the stuff of possibility. Because out of darkness has come the glittering beauty of illumination. It has come with struggle and toil, and not without help--but I am here, and I am mostly in tact, and I'm here to share the rest of this journey with you all if you care to join me.......

    We have wetlands behind us. In the summer it is dense, but in the winter you can see all the way inside. There are many trees down, partially down, or coming down. It always reminds me of the old tinker toys. But, they provide homes for nature’s population.

  22. vlamkin – I am a retired teacher. Five years ago I started blogging. It has become a passion--hence the launch of this my second blog. I love reading, hiking, cooking and spending time with friends. I was diagnosed with CLL--Chronic lymphocytic leukemia--and SSL--small lymphocytic lymphoma in 2011. I also was diagnosed with thyroid cancer-follicular carcinoma-- in the same year.

  25. LB – I'm a woman who loves spending time on the motorcycle and in, or on, any body of water. I love traveling and reading, baking and cooking, taking way too many pictures, and enjoying my family and friends. Life is an adventure, and I want to remember and express my joy for it! This is a journal for me ... so I'll never forget the good times and to remind me of them on more challenging days.

  27. Well. you don’t need my comment but this reminds me of the /redwood Forest in California. The small trees and branches support these Treasures given us by God. They have roots that are not at all deep and they depend on the vegetation around to support them. And their cones are tiny. A miracle of God and they can’t be destroyed by fire because of some ingredient in their bark. Just thought I would share than like I would love your readers to find me .
