  1. derrickjknight – UK – I am an octogenarian enjoying rambling physically and photographing what I see, and rambling in my head as memories are triggered. I also ramble through a lifetime's photographs. In these later years much rambling is done in a car.

  4. natasha shilbhadra – In the year 2014 out of sheer boredom and lack of interest in living an assertive life, a friend of mine suggested me to create a blog. She recognised the talent & sport in me while I was shy & least confident to admit what I was capable of. I have been unsure of my gift into writing. One day I wrote a piece of article which I was too shy to post for the fear of being judged & ridiculed by the “social media giants” (If you know what i mean) However on reluctance, I went ahead and published my first post on Facebook and metaphorically speaking, I waited for the walls to fall on my head while I hid under the blanket. Now literally speaking, I was super nervous to open my Facebook to check the reactions I received on the content I wrote. To my disbelief, I have received most positive responses. It took a whole lot while for me to understand what happened on that particular day. Based on those positive responses, I was intrigued to write another post and this time I did not hesitate to post and then came on the third, fourth post & so on.. As my confidence in writing grew, I went ahead to try another challenge – Photography. To begin with, I used Micromax canvas A110 to capture random photos and kept those photos saved in the device and never published them for the fear of being judged if I made my interest in photography public. (Now using Moto G3) A friend again had to influence me to go online with my photos. Only this time I thought why not and Instagrammed my first photo. Well, it was a slow start to begin with but overtime my Instagram gained followers and my photos increases in number everyday. My blog, which you’re reading is now a writer’s corner & a photoblog. These days you will find more of the photos flooding the page than the writing. I’m getting back on track to connect with the writing. I’m Natasha & this is my friendly blog since 2014

I write everyday.... shopping lists, to do lists, poetry of sorts... and a diary, often on the same page. And now I take photos everyday.....and I think I am a street photographer. 7. kinneret – Hello, and welcome. I'm writing this blog under an alias. Why an alias? I started to write what may be described as an "American Gothic" novel (sort of Henry James/ Franz Kafka with violence) with some autobiographical details. ..when I started this blog I just decided to use the alias. This blog is about art and art history, but my interests also include literature, film analysis, psychology, forensic psychology, faerie tale analysis, cognitive therapy, cognitive linguistics, classical theater, World War II, and Russian and British history. My favorite writers include Kafka, the Brontes, and Philip K Dick. Thank you for reading this blog and I will happily reply to any comments.

  9. rimshaather – The streets of Lahore – Too high to settle, too low to battle. I'm a certified loser who can't even rhyme it right. Although they train me to be a cold, rational analyst, I do like to rebel a little by doodling whenever I can, even during the lectures. This blog is a platform for displaying those imaginative illustrations which come to my mind whenever I feel the balance between reason and imagination being disrupted by the former. Even though I am a crude artist who likes to experiment with various media, and quite muddily at times, the consolation is enough for me that at least I try. Carpe diem!

  10. 2ndhalfolife – In the second (or really third?) half of my life now. Moving into the more crone stage: out of my head, into my soul. My magic is returning after many years of having lost it to the streets of life. There have been some very dark times, but these have made my journey rich with the stuff of possibility. Because out of darkness has come the glittering beauty of illumination. It has come with struggle and toil, and not without help--but I am here, and I am mostly in tact, and I'm here to share the rest of this journey with you all if you care to join me.......

  11. The Road to Joy – Catherine has been teaching since age 5½, when she entered 1st grade and found out nobody else had already read about Dick and Jane until they were blue in the face. Oh, Spot! Oh, Puff! It wasn't their fault they didn't have a big box of cast-off readers from Big Sis stashed under Daddy's train table. Anyway, she spent many adult years happily teaching a Montessori-style class for preschool children, then high school English, and finally, 7th and 8th grade English and literature. Now she's enjoying lots of personal reading and writing--retired at last!

  14. spiritualdragonfly – Eastern Shore – I WANT OUT OF LABELS. I DON'T WANT MY WHOLE LIFE CRAMMED INTO A SINGLE WORD, OR STORY. I WANT TO FIND SOMETHING ELSE, UNKNOWABLE, SOME PLACE TO BE THAT'S NOT ON THE MAP. A REAL ADVENTURE. A MYSTERY. A BLANK. UNKNOWN. UNDEFINED"(Chuck Palahniuk) *************** So, I've started my 'ABOUT' page with this particular quote because I feel it's a pretty good fit for me. Every day of our lives is a blank slate, a new beginning that we get to fill......Each day I'm evolving, so to try and tell you who I am is going to change on any given day. One day I'm spirited and wild, the next solemn. One day I'm anxious, another I'm full of piss and vinegar. I guess you could say I am a Hodge Podge....living a sometimes beautifully chaotic, yet simple life that I choose to share with you......
