  1. derrickjknight – UK – I am an octogenarian enjoying rambling physically and photographing what I see, and rambling in my head as memories are triggered. I also ramble through a lifetime's photographs. In these later years much rambling is done in a car.

Soon the green will take the place of the white field. Lovely view.

  5. I’ve had a post in my draft files for three years or more with the title “sunlight and shadows” — only mine has to do with the Louisiana swamps. Different context, but the same dynamic. It’s so often true, and part of the delight of life.

  6. 2ndhalfolife – In the second (or really third?) half of my life now. Moving into the more crone stage: out of my head, into my soul. I am revisiting this blog after many years, many life changes and challenges and finding myself surrounding by joy and resilience. Join me for the transformation and transition.

  9. Appleton – Southern California – I'm afraid for the future. My grandson's future. They predict that by 2050 cities like Miami, Bangkok, Mumbai, New York, Tokyo will be under water. (https://theswiftest.com/underwater-cities/#:~:text=There%20are%20numerous%20heavily%20populated,%E2%80%9Centirely%20underwater%20by%202050%E2%80%9D.) Every year there are more people living on the streets. Cost of Living has gone up, cost of groceries went up, cost of gas went way, way up. And income has not kept pace. Average cost of living is around $45,000. On average, nearly 50% of people in the US make less than $50,000 per year. (https://www.cs.mcgill.ca/~rwest/wikispeedia/wpcd/wp/h/Household_income_in_the_United_States.htm#:~:text=Households%20with%20annual%20income%20of,represented%2023.25%25%20of%20the%20population.) Yet CEOs are making record bonuses, and companies are pulling in massive profits. So I rant and vent here. Join me. Maybe we will each learn something.
