  1. Rajiv – I have been around the block a bit. I've lived in four countries, and in many parts of my country. I have been fortunate enough to meet some really good people, and some really lousy ones, all of whom have taught me much. I am passionate about photography, writing, Indian history and continuing on this grand journey towards death.

Here, winter seems to be over

  3. derrickjknight – UK – I am an octogenarian enjoying rambling physically and photographing what I see, and rambling in my head as memories are triggered. I also ramble through a lifetime's photographs. In these later years much rambling is done in a car.

Don’t remind me! How long the winter! I guess we should have the same attitude we have towards weather that we have towards people: don’t wish they were different but rather love them for what they are.

  5. Tom's Nature-up-close Photography and Mindfulness Blog – My Blog primarily consists of close-up nature photos (that I've taken locally) combined with original holistic-truth oriented prose and/or poetry involving mindfulness/awareness. I love nature and I love understanding the whole (not merely the parts and the details). I'm a retired teacher of the multiply handicapped. I have a number of interesting hobbies, such as fossil collecting, sport-kite flying, 3D and 2D close-up photography, holography, and pets. Most of all, I am into holistic self-awareness, spontaneous insight, unconventional observation/direct perception, mindfulness, meditation, world peace, non-fragmentation, population control, vegetarianism, and green energy. Cold beauty,

  7. blkkat49 – United States – I just want to write about anything that inspires me and to share this with everyone who wants to read it. I'm drawn to blank spaces and want to fill them with pondering, and advice and pictures. I know very little about a lot of things, but a lot about a few things. I write poetry, short stories, fiction and nonfiction and I love to read what the world of writing has to offer in any venue available. That is why I'm here.

Your pictures say so much, and your words, so few, but always perfect.

  8. phantomvogel3 – California USA – A snap happy fool on meager means. If you enjoy the world through my lens then follow me. If I can evoke a feeling within a frozen moment I'd imagine that's an image well done!

  9. simon7banks – Harwich, UK – I write poems and stories, often mystical or fantastical. I believe very strongly that poetry is an art of the spoken word, so the sound of the words is important: so please say my poems aloud, if only in your head. I live in the U.K., in Harwich, Essex, but have worked in Kenya and Finland, and travelled to many other places. This is my literary blog. I'm also a Liberal Democrat political activist, birder, long-distance trail walker, real ale drinker and Quaker.

Yes how far the mountain is….

  11. 2ndhalfolife – In the second (or really third?) half of my life now. Moving into the more crone stage: out of my head, into my soul. My magic is returning after many years of having lost it to the streets of life. There have been some very dark times, but these have made my journey rich with the stuff of possibility. Because out of darkness has come the glittering beauty of illumination. It has come with struggle and toil, and not without help--but I am here, and I am mostly in tact, and I'm here to share the rest of this journey with you all if you care to join me.......
    2ndhalfolife says:

    Indeed…how long? Too long….

  12. firefly1275 – Louisiana – V. Rose enjoys creating mystical characters and worlds, with a touch of the modern day world. When she is not writing or thinking up her next story ideas, she is enjoying South Louisiana sunsets.

    Very nice and beautiful!

  13. 18 February, northern hemisphere–still should have at least another month of true winter, no?
