I love the simplicity of your posts: one picture, one short poem!
BTW, many of the pics you take could have been taken in my environment, in the mountains of VA. Where do you live?
Hi, sorry I’m so tardy and sporadic about comments. I live in the “upper valley” of New Hampshire, the northern part of the state – but not the northern most which is called the Northeast Kingdom. I live very near the connecticut river which separates New Hampshire from Vermont. The local saying about where I live is “it’s not the end of the world but you can see it from here”. Quite remote. So peaceful and beautiful.
Hi, Seedbud. Even though I live in Virginia, I am in the mountains and we have a similar climate to yours… that explains why your pics look so very similar to what I am seeing here. And I can relate to the “remoteness” – we are an hour’s drive away from the nearest supermarket.
I live for the music of water. Every day on my walk I stop to listen and give thanks!
I enjoyed my stroll through your photos and thoughts. Each matching with a delicate and skilled hand. Thank you for your visits. May spring come soon. While there is a blessed peace to winter…I am ready for Spring to launder her white petticoat and wear a brilliant green frock!
I live in warm tropical climate to which snowfall is an alien phenomenon. In spite of that your picture awakens in me the song of the brook. Thanks!
oh! So glad. Thanks for letting me know – I hope the song stays with you. Enjoy the warmth and sunshine.
Nice picture!
Thanks!

the sound of brooks and creeks has always ministered to me..thank you..
“ministered” yes to me too.
I love this one!
thanks.
Thank you for your kind words and beautiful pictures. The photos could have been taken in Sweden!
hmm. One of the places I hope to visit some day.
This image took me back… with my new Brownie box camera, I took black-and-white photos of a brook in winter’s snow and ice.
oh! a Brownie box camera!!!
A beautiful scene well captured – childhood memories for me.
I love the combined contrast of image and sound!
Lovely contrast!

Oh, VERY nice.
The broken line of dark colored water reminds me of a dry stroke of ink from a brush. 🙂
Beautiful.
