It is super to visit your garden…

  2. words4jp – Updated 11.29.22: The bare bones bottom line of who I am is this: I am almost 58 years old, a mom who has two sons - one 27, the other almost 25. Who am I really? I am still contemplating.....always contemplating...........
    words4jp says:

i just love when there is the ‘one’ odd plant out amongst so many others. It always makes me wonder – how did it get there?

  3. gardendaze – Some of my earliest memories are of gardening. I remember running ahead of my Dad's reel mower "saving" the Johnny-Jump-Ups from the blades. My first paying job was also in horticulture--at the age of 11 I was deadheading pots of my neighbor's petunias for the princely sum of $1/week! Needless to say, I was bitten by the bug and have been gardening ever since. I've been all organic since 1994 when I discovered I didn't have butterflies. In researching why, I discovered they were very susceptible to pesticides so I chose from that moment on not use any. I now have 29 different kinds. The yard is certified as a wildlife habitat by the state department of environmental protection (#22) and by the National Wildlife Federation (#34,999).

Lovely. The garden is echoing the tree line on the mountain.

  4. Dr. Denny Wilkins – Dr. Denny Wilkins professes journalism at a small, private university in the Northeast. He has climbed, hiked, kayaked, photographed, skied, and otherwise meandered aimlessly throughout the American West for decades. He has degrees in geology, environmental studies, and communication — and has tried to make use of them as a co-founder of the progressive cultural blog ScholarsandRogues.com. He’s broadly interested in how the world works and why it works that way. He hates writing, although he does like having written well.
    Dr. Denny says:

Thank you for this. I have such wonderful memories of Monadnock. Friends and I used to climb it on New Year’s Day as a tradition. Every time I return home to New England during the summer, I try to drive past the old mountain and wave “Hi. Remember me?”

  5. Tracey – Mother of four daughters, homemaker, married 27 years to the same faithful man, blessed with love for the Lord and words.

This is packed full of inspiration! Thank you!

  6. maryoconnor12 – Along the Connecticut shoreline – I am a writer, poet, community volunteer, pupil of psychology, writing instructor, guest speaker, artist, lover of nature, curious traveler and author of Life Is Full of Sweet Spots, An Exploration of Joy, as well as Dreams of a Wingless Child, a book of award-winning poetry. An advocate of the power of writing as an agent of change, I enjoy speaking to community groups about the joy of making words sing and conduct creative poetry writing workshops for inmates at the State of Connecticut’s York Correctional Institution. As a writer and a painter, I enjoy living along the Connecticut shore, where I infuse everyday observations of the natural world with the sensitivity and insightfulness that tend to define my experience of life. It is these reflections that have helped me realize that one need not look far to find an element of peace, of celebration, of joy, in this inordinate world of which we are all a part.

  8. Richard Ankers – United Kingdom – Richard M. Ankers is the English author of The Eternals Series and Britannia Unleashed all published by Next Chapter. Richard feels privileged to have had stories and poetry published all over the world. He lives to write. A prolific writer, a constant source of clearing his mind, Richard has created this website to share just some of the many poems and prose he has written that would otherwise have fallen by the wayside. Reading and writing have always been Richard's main love along with the pursuit of keeping fit, running, walking, and anything that provides a spectacular view. Running in the rain with his headphones on whilst dreaming up some future storyline is just about perfect. It would be nicer still if that run was in Switzerland or Norway, but we can't have everything. Oh, and coffee, lots and lots of coffee.

  9. typewriterpoet – I enjoy many poetry styles but enjoy short poetry the most and a little bit of microfiction, but the challenge of a long poem has it's enjoyment as well!

  11. NoWorkAllTravel – "Travel. Repeat." No Work All Travel was started in mid-2020 precisely to distract everyone from the unpleasantness of the time. I figured I would provide a virtual culinary and sightseeing tour of places, peppered with travel news updates, helpful foreign language vocab, and some personal photography to drive it all, well, back to your home. Besides the United States, for varying amounts of time I've lived in Orizaba (Mexico), Jeddah, Jakarta, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Tokyo, either for work, or to eat. Since eating -- and learning about the world through food -- forms such a large part of my travels, an ideal title for me would be Fluent Eater. Thank you in advance for having stopped by!
