  1. DoRo – Athens, Greece – Life can be incredibly difficult and you would think that with increasing age and experience, things get easier. But that is just not true. My life seems to go like waves, sometimes building up to a peak and then either slowly rolling down, gently sweeping me along, letting me prepare for the downside. At other times, I am swept off my feet like those surfers riding the wave, I find myself crushed and whirling in the undertow, struggling to get back to the surface. But I am a fighter, I won't give up and won't stay down long. There is no sink or swim...there is only my wish to master whatever life throws at me and my daily efforts not to sink...I do not blame others, I take responsibility and search for the solutions in myself.

That is very nice and the description is spot on! Good job!

  2. wildsherkin – Sherkin Island, Co Cork, Ireland – I like to make things, and I don't always have time and space to do that. Sherkin Island is a tiny island off the south west coast of Cork. It's one of the Carbery One Hundred Isles in Roaring Water Bay, just a ten minute ferry ride from Baltimore in West Cork yet a million miles away from my day job.

I love the green and grey tones…wishing I had something this lovely in my wardrobe! 🙂

  3. Great idea to combine poetry and photographs. I often use images for inspiration.

  4. Wonderful foreground texture captured of the birch tree bark. Lovely composition, too.

  5. The texture and colour of the bark is captured beautifully

  6. Style&Esteem – Southeast Louisiana – With me you never know what you're gonna get. I change with the wind. But as much as that wind blows, there are things that remain consistent. My family centers me. My constant need to find happiness and something positive in every situation, to accept myself and others just as we are, to explore creativity and find adventure in every day.

Hi. You inspired me to have a look at our birch trees. The word ‘effortlessly’ is perfect. Jane

  8. Mary Mageau – Queensland, Australia – I am a writer and nature photographer, living in a small rural village in the Samford Valley. Here on Australia’s east coast, surrounded by the Brisbane State Forest Park and four rugged mountains, I enjoy exploring new and creative ways to engage with the natural world that surrounds me. My husband and I often roam around Australia as we visit the outback and cities of interest. Our favourite destinations also include the islands scattered throughout the Pacific Ocean. With my notebook, pen and camera at hand, I’ve enjoyed researching and photographing amazing places and scenery, together with the stunning flowers and foliage found in these unique parts of our world. This blog―Nature as Art and Inspiration―has developed through my love of writing and travel.
