  1. grantresults – If you wish to reach me, please comment on a Grant Results blog post or email me at grantresults@gmail.com. As an on-staff grant writer and as an independent consultant, I have extensive experience in writing funded proposals for both rural and urban organizations. Over time, I have assisted school districts, social service agencies, health service providers, and others from Florida to Alaska and from Maine to California. Out of more than 450 proposals written thus far, about 80% have been funded, with a total value of more than $146,000,000 as near as I can track it. Grant Results is a resource for finding and winning competitive grants. Its intended audience is all persons interested in effective grantsmanship, ranging from novices to experts, the curious to the committed. Its audience embraces those professionals and consultants who belong to the various special interest groups on the Charity Channel (www.charitychannel.org), who attend training through the Grantsmanship Center (www.tgci.com), or who seek membership in the Grant Professionals Association (www.grantprofessionals.org), the Association of Fundraising Professionals (www.afpglobal.org), or the American Grant Writers Association (www.agwa.us). As a blog, Grant Results offers tools for writing proposals for funding – primarily in preK-16 Education, Social Services, and Health Services. Its scope of potential funders encompasses federal and state agencies, private foundations, public charities, and corporations. Although its range of possible topics remains open-ended, most posts focus on proven and potential strategies for creating proposals that win grants.

A fine photo and a fine meditation, SeedBud. The ballet metaphor is apt given how both birches’ limbs kick out to the right. Keep it up!

This newfound love of writing was a natural progression for me as I had spent my entire career writing professionally to engage, inform, inspire, and move client groups to responsive action. With poetry, reader engagement and response has been a tremendous part of my life, unimpeded by any sort of mental block at any stage of the creative process. The focus of my writing leans strongly to the romantic side while also very strongly influenced by my love and connection with nature and the stunning beauty of so much of the planet. Most often, I incorporate high-resolution photographic images to enhance the reader experience. I am also a freelance editor, proofreader, line editor, grammatical and structural editor of author book manuscripts and publishing services.

A lovely write! The Birch is such a distinct and beautiful presence, bright in an otherwise darkened woodscape.
