mid February in the woods
winter’s eye looked in mine
and winked I do believe
Recognition
Sound Effects
memories carry
the babble
of the now silent brook
For Those Who Walked Ahead
we follow your path
and thank you
for making our journey easier
Beneath The Snowy Pine
the storm
makes shelter
of itself
The Wooded Kingdom’s Castle
constructed by decay
each spire a testament
to the sovereignty of being
Held
in the tall woods
I am small
right sized in nature’s palm
Here
stand in the woods
with the quiet and the white
you are a part of the beauty and the peace
All Sorts And Conditions
in snow and ice
a branch both nude and barked
leaves sheltered and exposed
Helping Each Other
a fall avoided
caught by
a bystander
An Arch Of Trees
we recognize this threshold
and step through
to tranquility
Undaunted
uprooted
but still upright
this is resolve
Whispering Snow
the forest
shares her secrets
with the whispering of snow
Listen With Your Whole Body
the air itself
will tell you
what lies ahead
Winter Zen
here in this place
breath rests
peace made manifest
Etching In White
a landscape
drawn in cold
every intricacy captured
Finding The Way
the trail disappeared
so we followed
the path of light
Outdoor Play
the snow
like children
climbing trees
Beside Three Shadows
two llamas
harmonizing
one llama listening
Through The Trees
dawn opens
a window
to the new day
Woodland Cookies
sugar cookie leaves
a sweet feast
for forest creatures
Made New
new wonders
on old paths
the magic of snow
Shared Knowledge
the stream and sky
converse about
the fluid endurance of existence
Choose
fear not
the near darkness
be warmed by the light
Sheltered
no snow
beneath
the canopy
Cascade
waterfall of time
this year’s leaves
descending mossy granite
In These Shorter Days
shadows dark as night
the brook thick with cold
winter taking hold
May It Be Every Day
we journey
towards each other
open hearted
Whispers Of Adieu
new slant of light
the colors start
as summer slips away
Lift Your Eyes
and see
how trees reach
for heaven
Where The Light Gets In
true togetherness
resides in those little spaces
we honor between us
