in the softness
of a summer morning
the landscape still dreaming

the archway a threshold
suspending the invisible veil
between winter and spring

there is a veil
between winter and spring
comprised of the remains of summer and fall

this grove of birch
a clutch of ghosts
the other realm is near

veiled in a silken web
the ghost appears
before the death

garden wedding
in June
bridal veil blooms

beneath the veil
spring is greening
the world

lacy ice curtain
veils the dark woods
both awaiting the sun’s revelation

morning mist
the veil between
eternity and now

a veil of mist
a curtain of crabapples
the fabric of winter

Only during the solstice
is the veil between the worlds thin enough to see
where fairies hang their dancing shoes.

The crown of the tree
wears a veil of green.
