the watering can
builds confidence
amongst the flowers
On A Hot Summer Day
Snow In Summer
flurry
of white blooms
a storm of beauty
Summer Took Me By The Hand
and stretched before me
verdant, tender, true
as the great green meadow
Keeping Watch
at summer’s threshold
a redwing
stands sentry
Summer Comes
a window is opened in heaven
in summer waltzes
scattering shades of blue
Flowers Of Light
like a memory
of summer
magnifying sunlight
If Summer Could Go On Forever
sunflowers would
shine their cheerful light
through winter’s dark night
Essential Elements
steel heron
waits by stone bowl
filled with rain
August Sun
reeds and grasses
illumined by heat
green fire on the water
Still Jumping
a merry band
of cheerfulness
still jumping mid-summer
Garden Party
hollyhock corsage
every one is invited
to summer’s dance
The Frog Overseer
from his porch perch
supervising
summer’s bloom
Cows In The Pasture
however far away
place holders
for a summer’s day
Dog Days
it is good
to run in the brook
and dash through sun and shade
Garden Lights
sunflowers
still holding
summer sun
Old Structures Reminisce
behind the arbor and gazebo
berries blush recalling
memories of summer kisses
Too Soon To Say Goodbye
like summer
we linger
by the fencepost
At Summer’s Edge
down by the river
the susans and goldenrod
commune
Not Done Yet
sweet September
unwilling to let
summer’s party fade away
Watching The Clouds Parade
this rightful place
at river’s edge
near summer’s end
I Do
summer weds itself
carrying bouquets
of sweet william
Meadow Surf
swells of color
summer’s current
these flowering wave sets
Summer’s Best Friend
take shelter
in the sweet shade
of the dear old tree
The Garden At Noon
from the shade
I take a long drink
of her colors
Celestial Pageantry
parade
of clouds
celebrates summer
The Garden Bench
in morning shade
watching
a summer day unfold
Strawberries
red, ripe, juicy
summer hauntings
of winter’s slow end
Taking Turns
summer lingers
in the field
autumn at the fencepost
Soft Saunter Of Colors
late summer
climbed the hill
making way for autumn
Ordinary Hero
summer stalwart
holding up the sky
fending off fall
