summer
on the wane
her beauty lingers
Twilight
At The Bog
summer flying by
faster than
the wide wide sky
The Day Stretched Out Before Us
its wonders
to be
discovered
Arborvitae And Astilbe
regiments of green and purple
leaf and flower
guarding summer
A Favored Place
sitting on a warm stone
feet submerged in smooth cool
the perfect way to bridge a summer day
Summer Sidewalk
each day
a bloom
in the sun
Iris In The Dooryard
the garden’s appointed
sergeant at arms
officiating summer’s bloom
Dog Days
free to be
as lazy as the clouds
in a breezeless sky
The Flowered Breeze
the sway of color
the kiss of air
this is summer’s embrace
Autumn Shore
this tide
pulls summer
into the blue depths
Whispers Of Adieu
new slant of light
the colors start
as summer slips away
Corn Tassels And Clouds
room to billow
in a wide blue sky
summer’s arms still open
Pollen Painted
in the high heat
August fields fill with
goldenrod and dry grass
Make Holy The Housework
while the laundry dries
let it be perfumed
by summer blooms
Garden Tapestry
the days
of summer
woven in leaves
The Road Into Summer
from the respite of shade
blue skies of opportunities
just up ahead
Summer Sun
a string of white lights
bellflowers reaching
for the sun
Summer Morning
an invitation
to linger in
a long lazy day
Summer Flew In
June morning
the world opened wide
all possibilities expanded
Looking Forward
a little shimmer
of summer
in the snowy sunshine
Holding Space
summer’s ghost
saving a place
for her corporeal self
From The Past The Future
shadow of the hollyhock’s
gift wrapped seeds
ghost of summer, prophet of spring
Dawdling Days
the calendar says October
but it is still summer
in the side yard
Longevity
lingering lilies
the bee balm’s re-bloom
September summer
Magic And Laundry
zinnias watch the day unfold
the driftwood horse oversees
sheets drying in the summer breeze
Flowers At The Farmer’s Market
buckets filled
with summer
bunched to take home
The Garden Stairs
slowly we take the steps
reluctant to reach
the peak of bloom
Reaching Past The Rooftops
ambition
is the weed’s
decree
The Veil Lingers
in the softness
of a summer morning
the landscape still dreaming
Lazy Days
summer rests
by the roadside
tall grass and clover
