winter raised
her red flamed torches
showing us the path

uncertain if

suddenly guidance appears

every trail leads

into the snowy woods

Four feet
find their way
by instinct and inspiration.

Suddenly sunlight
and the meadow appears.
The dark treacherous trail
becomes a gentle winding path.

Through the dried grass
the wooden path
leads to winter.
Passageway
Summer holds on
in sunshine and blossom
but Fall is pulling at her edges.

Stepping stones warmed by the sun
beckon bare feet
to journey into serenity
White Flame
Amidst all the green
a single white flame flickers
lighting the path.
Direction
Walk the soft path
in the cool water.
It is purpose enough.

This is the path that leads to the place
where the flowers know your name,
walk slowly and listen to their stories of you.
