starburst of color
created with
captured light
Pink Sparkler
Contained
open
and let
your light shine
Pretty Is As Pretty Does
magnificence incarnate
your humble name
carnation
Not Quite In The Spotlight
sometimes just
to be near the path of light
is light enough
Night Traveler
alone
you wove your way
into the light of a new day
The Bend
up ahead
some light
an encouragement to hope
Technique
sun and wind
paint the landscape
the weather sgrafitto
Even Grey Days Have Their Golden Light
the sun is found
golden and shining
from the ground
Matinee
seedheads star
in a shadow play of summer
produced by winter light
Needles, Leaves, Reeds
the wind weaves
a tapestry
of elements and time
Roads To Winter
in the darkness
and the scarcity
there will also be beauty
In The Sweet
autumn leaves
coated with
honeyed autumn light
The Hurried Hush
autumn days quicken
keeping pace with the meadow’s
movements of light and color
The Gilded Season
autumn’s garden palette
favors purple and peach
enhanced by obliquely slanted light
Dawning
traveling with the morning light
the mountain revealed through the trees
then the pond shrugs off her shawl of pink mist
so tenderly begins this day
Willing
in the garden I begin to learn
how to let difficulties pass
like shadows across a petals
Sun Catcher Dream Catcher
dahlia’s petaled hoop
filtering light from dark
dreams from daymares
Morning Dew
I can almost see time
accumulating
in the blades of grass
A Song Of Summer
shadow and light
perform a dappled dance
stepping to August’s tune
Allium Sparklers
each seed suspended
on a stream of light
beauty bursts
Roots, Rock, Fungi
endurance
is a game
of adaptation
Dawning Rose
she opens
lightening and brightening
expanding into the whole of the day
The Saving Sunshine
banished now the dreary dread
of March through May’s gray
by pansy light and luminous leaves
Shadow And Light
in their differences
how they amplify and echo
each other
Near The Beaver Dam
beside the water’s current
a stillness settles on
that savors the day’s tranquility
Primrose
blooming at my feet
before the weather reliably warms
lightening and brightening each step
They Make The Sunshine
let the flowers
light
the way
Old Rose
blossoms
gone to hips
still reaching for the sun
Holding Place Until The Lamps Are Lighted
an insistence
of light within
the gathering grey
What The Lantern Occasioned
a light
without light
is how memory is made
