summer days

swooping in
summer arrives
on red wings

like dandelion wishes
snow flies and floats
congregating in expectation

milkweed seeds shiver
reluctant to fly
side by side with the snow

between the frosts
a final bloom
tenacity of beauty

swim the sky
fly the water
heaven is on earth
