  1. chelawriter – I thought retirement would give me more time to write, but as with may others, my experience of retirement so far is that it is far busier than my employment years. Two wild fires with evacuations and extensive damage to my home have not helped. Repairs are almost complete, and fingers crossed things will settle down so I can post more often.

I miss chipmunks, only have rabbits testing the grassy meadows in this way.

  2. Jeni – I want to know what is over that hill, around that bend. I want to live life to the full as much as I can. ... and I want to share what I see and experience with you.

so cute, I have never seen a live chipmunk – they are beautiful

  3. They are just so cute! Where I used to work, one of them would venture out for a handful of peanuts. He would stuff his cheeks with peanuts, and then scamper off to who knows where to eat them. Such a wonderful picture and poem ! 🐿💕

    1. They are such enchanting little creatures. Maybe it is because they are so tiny, and have those tiny hands, that they seem so full of whimsey.
