Birch always kindles warmth in my heart — it’s a reminder of my Iowa youth, and birches in our yard. Even in summer, we always kept birch logs in the fireplace.

Lovely birch, such a beautiful and useful tree. I think about the nature of the wood I burn, too. It has a history and a story to tell. I’m always appreciative as it comes full circle.
